Multiple-Mounted 66-Type Connecting Blocks
The connectorized 66-type connecting blocks can be ordered in two multiple mounting
arrangements. The 166-type backboard provides eight 157B connecting blocks factory-
mounted onto a purple backboard. This multiple arrangement provides termination of 16
25-pair cables. The 166-type mounting can be used in the equipment room for the
Trunk/Auxiliary Field and in the Distribution Field (port and auxiliary).
The 154A-type backboard provides four 157B connecting blocks factory-mounted onto a blue
backboard. This multiple arrangement provides termination of 8 25-pair cables. The 154A-
type mounting can be used in the equipment room in the Distribution Field (station).

183-Type Backboards
The 183-type backboards (Figure 4-4) provide a mounting for the 66M1-50 and 157B
connecting blocks. They are available in four colors for identification of the functional areas
in the cross-connect field. The 183A-type backboards can mount 4 66M1-50 or 157B
