system and environments are beyond the scope of this document. Please
refer to your Microsoft documentation for details concerning the Windows
operating systems.
Creating physical connections
Use any of the following methods to create a physical connection to DEFINITY
ONE or IP600:
■ RJ45
■ Local monitor/mouse/keyboard
■ RAS (modem) dial up
■ Customer LAN
■ DEFINITY ONE gateway (DLG)
RJ45 jack direct connection
RJ45 is the preferred procedure for creating the physical connection to DEFINITY
ONE or IP600. You connect a laptop computer to the RJ45 jack in the front panel.

IP600
The technician’s laptop computer connects to the DEFINITY ONE or IP600 sys-
tem directly to the RJ45 jack on the front panel of the TN2314 circuit pack. The
laptop computer requires the following equipment:
