3. Select the appropriate software (ACP) version at the top of the page.
Note that if you select R10.1 or later, you will create just a password file --
the license file is generated with the RFA tool as described in ‘‘Obtain a
License File’’ on page 3-15. If you select a software version earlier than
R10.1, you will create both a password file and a license file in this session.
4. Enter passwords in the NT PW for each of the logins that you wish to use.
5. Enter passwords for either ASG Key or LAC PW (not both), as appropriate,
for each of the logins you wish to use.
6. Enter the expiration date for the passwords in the
Expiration Date for
Passwords
box. Similarly, if you are creating a license file (for software
versions earlier than R10.1), enter the expiration date for the license in the
Expiration Date for Software Licenses
box.
NOTE:
Print this page or record the entries for your future reference.
7. Click Continue.
8. Select the desired file delivery method:
You can download the file to your desktop by clicking Download the
password file. Or, you can send the file to an email address by typing the
destination email address in the
Send password file by email to
TO: field.
Optionally, you can also enter an email address in the CC: field.
9. Click Send Email.
Transfer and install the password file and
installation scripts
The most straightforward method to install the password file and installation
scripts uses FTP to transfer the files. Follow these steps:
1. Connect the PC/laptop to the RJ45 jack on the front panel.
NOTE:
For details of this procedure see ‘‘Connect the laptop computer to DEFINITY
ONE or IP600’’ on page 2-2.
2. On the PC/laptop, click Start, Run, and type telnet 192.11.13.6; then click
OK.
3. Login using lucent3 (default password is also lucent3).
4. Type bash at the lac prompt.
5. Type ftpserv to start the ftp server.
6. Minimize the telnet window.
