Circuit pack installation
!
WARNING:
When handling circuit packs or any components of an Avaya IP600 system,
always wear an authorized wrist ground strap. Connect the strap to the
ground connector provided on the system cabinet.
Circuit pack slot loading
1. Check the reinstalled circuit packs. All of the circuit pack slots in the RMC
are “universal slots.” Any slot can contain any type of port circuit pack with
the following exceptions for cabinet A. See Figure 1-18.
■ The TN2314 Processor circuit pack must be installed in slot 2 of
cabinet A.
■ TN744E Call Classifier/Tone Detector circuit pack should be
installed in slot 3.
2. Load all port circuit packs. See Table 1-6 on page 1-43 for the
recommended circuit pack layout.
