4. Click Next to start the installation process.
Follow the instructions on each window to complete installation.
The install process takes approximately 10 minutes.
5. If prompted to overwrite a read-only file, click Yes.
6. When the installation completes, click Finish. The system automatically
reboots.
7. Open a console bash and enter d1stat. When DEFINITY is up, check for
dial tone.
Replace the TN2314 circuit pack
NOTE:
If the TN2314 circuit pack is replaced, for repair, a new license file must be
obtained (go to the appropriate URL listed in ‘‘Go to the RFA website’’ on
page 3-15 for procedures on how to do this) and the license installation
process must be used. DEFINITY, I
NTUITY AUDIX, and SNMP will not start if
the license file does not match the new TN2314 serial number.
1. Shut down the system.
2. Remove the TN2314 circuit pack.
3. Remove the hard disk from the failed TN2314 circuit pack.
4. Insert the hard disk onto the new TN2314 circuit pack.
NOTE:
You cannot use the hard disk from a TN795 circuit pack.
5. Boot the system.
Follow the procedures to install a new license and password file.
For instructions on swapping serial numbers to obtain a new license file, go to one
of the RFA Web sites indicated in ‘‘Go to the RFA website’’ on page 3-15. Once on
the RFA Web site, access the function Serial Number Swap-Out.
See ‘‘Obtain a password file’’ on page 3-6 for more details on installing a
password file.
Also, complete steps 8-10 of Replacing a TN795 board with a TN2314 on the
second page of this chapter.
NOTE:
If you have not installed a valid license file, the system will boot, but
DEFINITY ONE or IP600 call processing will only run for 6 additional days or
until you obtain and install a valid license file.
After 6 days without a valid license, call processing is stopped and only an
Avaya administrator will have access the system.
