Set up sharing and permissions of the CDR Folder
for CDR retrieval
To use the CDR folder on the D: drive to store Call Detail Recording (CDR) data
from a Call Accounting System (CAS), the CDR folder must be shared with
specific permissions.
At the Windows desktop:
1. Double-click on the My Computer icon and go to D:\LucentData\CDR.
2. Right-click on the CDR folder.
3. In the drop-down menu, click Sharing.
4. Select Share this folder.
5. Click Permissions.
6. In the Name box, if “Everyone” is listed, select it and click Remove.
7. Click Add.
8. In the Look in: drop-down menu, select the computer name you want.
9. In the Name box, scroll down to the Users group you created, select it, and
click Add.
10. Click OK.
This process will take some time to complete.
Your user group will now appear in the Name list in the Share Permissions
window.
11. In the Permissions window, select Full Control /Allow.
12. Click Apply.
13. Click OK > OK.
