Installing a flow-calming section
A flow-calming section is to be incorporated in the milk pipeline upstream of
the flow level meter with a minimum length of five times the nominal width.
If the system is operated without a flow level meter, this flow-calming section
should be positioned upstream of the sampler.
Pockets of air which falsify the flow level meter readings and which affect
the sampling process are largely eradicated by the flow-calming section.
