Pplat
Plateau Pressure. Measured during an Inspiratory Hold
maneuver or during zero flow in a pressure control breath.
Used to calculate Static Compliance (Cstat).
Pounds per square inch gauge. 1 PSIG = .07bar
Sigh Breath
A Volume Controlled machine breath having a tidal
volume equal to one-and-a-half times (150%) of the
current tidal volume setting.
Patient Work of Breathing i.e. a measure of Patient Effort.
