Set timing sprocket

in timing chain.
Make the marker lines

on timing
sprocket parallel with cylinder head lower
surface

Install timing sprocket bolt

with thread
locker. Tighten torque: 30N•m.
NOTE: Install timing sprockets
according to the made marks, to
prevent incorrect installation.
NOTE: The marker lines
2
on timing
sprocket should be parallel with
cylinder head lower surface

as
picture shows.
NOTE: Do not rotate crankshaft during
installation. Inspect TDC position
constantly during installation.
5.6.22 First Cylinder Tensioner
Remove bolt

Remove washer

.
Put cross screw driver into hole

. Rotate
it clockwise to adjust tensioner arm to the
appropriate length. (Do not loosen screw
driver.)
Install new seal gasket

Install timing chain tensioner

.
Install bolts

.
Loosen cross screw driver.
Install washer

Install bolt

NOTE: Install tensioners according to
the made marks, to prevent incorrect
installation.
5.6.23 First Cylinder Valve Clearance
Adjustment
Fix nut

with wrench.
Use special tool: Valve Clearance adjusting
wrench

to loosen adjusting screw

Insert filler gauge

of appropriate
thickness between rocker arm and valve
spring lock clip

.
The filer gauge
4
can be moved without
much force. Then tighten adjusting nut
1
. Inspect again to make sure the clearance
is qualied.
NOTE: The cylinder must be at TDC
position before clearance adjustment.
