12.14.12 Ignition Coil
Ignition coil transforms the low voltage of
primary coil to high voltage of secondary
coil by sparking from spark plug and
igniting the mixture of air and fuel in
cylinder
Pin function:
Ignition coil pin 1 of rst cylinder connects
ECU pin 100.
Ignition coil pin 2 of rst cylinder connects
power +12V.
Ignition coil pin 3 of rst cylinder grounds.
Ignition coil pin 1 of second cylinder
connects ECU pin 99.
Ignition coil pin 2 of second cylinder
connects power +12V.
Ignition coil pin 3 of second cylinder
grounds.
Circuit connecting with ECU.
Secondary Ignition Voltage Measurement
Connect with engine according to EFI
wiring diagram.
Connect the peak voltage tester according
to the right diagram.
Start the engine.
Secondary ignition voltage should be
>15000V.
