Remove CVT case cover bolts

Remove CVT case cover

by pulling it
away from the pulleys, then rotating it 90
degrees clockwise. Manuever the cover
upward in the engine compartment to gain
clearance for the lower part of the cover to
clear the suspension arm, and remove it.
Remove the CVT seal ring from the case
cover.
4.2.3 CVT Drive Pulley, Driven Pulley
and Drive Belt Removal
Use special tool: Drive Pulley Holding
Wrench

to hold drive pulley.
Remove drive pulley bolt

(left-hand
thread).
Separate driven pulley fixed sheave and
sliding sheave with special tool

NOTE: Only one hole contains threads.
Use special tool: Drive Pulley Holding
Wrench to secure the drive pulley.
Use special tool: Drive Pulley removal

to remove drive pulley

Remove driven pulley nut

4.3.1 CVT Case Cover Inspection
Inspect CVT case cover

for cracks or
damage. Replace if any defect is found.
Inspect CVT case cover seal ring

for
aging, damage or other defects. Replace if
any defect is found.
