5.5.3 Parts Inspection
Cylinder Head Inspection
-Clean the carbon deposit in combustor
and on junction surface

-Inspect cylinder head valve seat for
cracks. Replace if necessary.
-Use knife-edge ruler and filler gauge
to inspect the junction area

between
cylinder head and body for deformation
and damage. Measure at different
positions. Replace with a new cylinder
head if beyond service limit. Replace with
a new cylinder head if damaged.
-Clean grease oil trail on cylinder head.
Cylinder head deformation limit value:
0.03mm
Tool: knife-edge ruler, ller gauge
Camshaft Inspection
Inspect camshaft every cam and journal for
scratches, wear, cracks or other damage.
Measure camshaft journal diameter and
cam height with micrometer.
