Color wrinkles: Cleaning
To prevent color wrinkles, complete printer cleaning cycle is advised.
Recommended cleaning cycle: Every 1000 cards or after each technical hardware maintenance.
The frequency and quality of cleaning are determining factors to prolong the life of the print head, printer,
prevent printing, transport and feeding issue.
See Primary transfer rollers cleaning procedure (page 215
).
Performed the cleaning with Routine printer cleaning (page 198) and Manual printer cleaning (page 206
).
Color wrinkles: Color ribbon
Replace the color ribbon by a new one.
Color wrinkles: Print head
Check if printhead manufacturer is TDK (early SN) or not:
TDK printheads are known to generate color wrinkle more often than current printheads assembled in
Avansia printer.
Replace printhead by a new one (page 174).
