7 Ensure master cylinders are in neutral position.
8 Attach the connector hose (4) to the bleeder fitting.
9 Turn the bleeder fitting 1/2 rotation to the left for opening.
10 Slowly pump clean hydraulic fluid in the system. Bleeding
should continue until no more air bubbles are expelled from
the system (observe the immersed end of the clear hose),
and a firm brake pedal is obtained (fill each side of the system
with min. 0.33 ltr (0.1 U.S Gallons) for complete change).
11 Fill the fluid reservoir up to full reservoir capacity.
12 Reinstall fluid reservoir filler plug.
13 Close bleeder fitting.
14 Disconnect the connector hose.
15 Reinstall bleeder fitting cap.
16 Check the brake operation.
17 Reinstall engine cowlings and wheel fairing cover plates.
12-10-07 Tire Inflation
For the EXTRA 300LT the required tire pressure is 3.4 bar
(49 psi) for both main wheels.
Open the tire inflation access cap and use regulated air
pressure.
