34-20-02 Attitude Indicator
An attitude indicator, also known as a gyro horizon or
artificial horizon, is an instrument used in an aircraft to
inform the pilot of the orientation of the airplane relative to
the earth. It indicates pitch (fore and aft tilt) and bank (side
to side tilt)
The incorporated Attitude and Heading Reference Systems
(AHRS) actuates a display that has two dimensions of
freedom, simultaneously displaying pitch and bank.
Removal/Installation
1 Remove the instrument cover per chapter 31-10-03.
2 Disconnect the electrical wiring from the attitude indicator.
3 Remove the attitude indicator attachment bolts and nuts.
4 Remove the attitude indicator.
5 Install in reverse sequence of removal.
