3-7-5 Dicom
Use the Dicom page to add a Dicom device and then add one or more Dicom services to that device.
Refer to these sections depending on the type of device you want to add:
• "Dicom device" on page 3-55
• "Dicom Web device" on page 3-56
• "Dicom special device" on page 3-57
Once the device has been added, refer to one of these sections to add Dicom services to that device:
• "Dicom services" on page 3-58
• "Services for special devices" on page 3-61
NOTE: For special devices (found under Special Devices), there are pre-configured Dicom devices and
services. These devices and services will display on Dicom when Show special Dicom devices
is enabled and the special device is enabled on Special Devices.
3-7-5-1 Dicom device
Use Dicom > Add Dicom Device to add a destination device (printer, worklist server, etc.) to the
Ultrasound system.

Navigate to Connectivity > Connection Manager > Dicom.
2.
Select Add Dicom Device.
NOTE: To edit an existing device, select the Edit for the device.
3.
In Name, enter a name for the Dicom device.
4.
To add a device (not a web device), set Dicom Web Device to Off.
5.
In IP Address, enter an IP address for the device.
6.
If Use DICOM TLS Encrypted Connection is On, select the pencil icon
to display the TLS Encrypted Configuration dialog box to add a
certificate.
7.
Select Add.
8.
Continue to "Dicom services" on page 3-58.
