DIMM rank classification label
A DIMM rank is a set of memory chips that the system accesses while writing or reading from the
memory. On a multi-rank DIMM, only one rank is accessible at a time.
To determine the rank classification of a DIMM, use the label attached to the DIMM, as shown
in Figure 195.
