In the “auto phase center”, the motor is energised to test the configuration and the
encoder parameter settings are checked. The encoder's counting direction can be
established automatically and inverted if necessary. Automatic establishment of
the control parameters is also possible using the “auto phase center”. The count-
ing direction of the system can also be inverted.
The “auto phase center” is only needed when commissioning the first time.

are available for commutation finding. These two
methods are commutation findings with motion.
Steps 1. (Enable Axis in SM mode) and 2. (Drag the slider …) “auto phase cen-
ter” should be carried out each time the motor, encoder or their cables are
replaced. Should the motor phases or encoder counting direction have re-
versed without you noticing, incorrect cabling is automatically corrected. An
uncorrected reversal of the motor phases or encoder counting direction may
result in dangerous, uncontrolled motor movement.
