Configuring an MPLS TE tunnel to use a dynamic
CRLSP
To configure an MPLS TE tunnel to use a CRLSP dynamically established by RSVP-TE, complete
the following tasks:
• Configure MPLS TE attributes for the links.
• Configure IGP TE extension to advertise link TE attributes, so as to generate a TEDB on each
node.
• Configure tunnel constraints.
• Establish the CRLSP by using the signaling protocol RSVP-TE.
You must configure the IGP TE extension to form a TEDB. Otherwise, the path is created based on
IGP routing rather than computed by CSPF.
Configuration task list
To establish an MPLS TE tunnel by using a dynamic CRLSP:
(Required.) Configuring MPLS TE attributes for a link
(Required.) Advertising link TE attributes by using IGP TE extension
(Required.) Configuring MPLS TE tunnel constraints
(Required.) Establishing an MPLS TE tunnel by using RSVP-TE
(Optional.) Controlling CRLSP path selection
(Optional.) Controlling MPLS TE tunnel setup
Configuring MPLS TE attributes for a link
MPLS TE attributes for a link include the maximum link bandwidth, the maximum reservable
bandwidth, and the link attribute.
Perform this task on each interface that the MPLS TE tunnel traverses.
To configure the link TE attributes:
