Step 1
DANGER
An electrical outlet that is not correctly wired could place hazardous voltage
on the metal parts of the system or the devices that attach to the system. It is
the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the outlet is correctly wired
and grounded to prevent an electrical shock. (D004)
This step verifies whether the power is operating properly.
1. Make sure that the 7226 storage enclosure power cable is plugged into an
electrical outlet.
2. Check the power cable connections at the rear of the 7226 storage enclosure
and at the electrical outlet.
3. Press the power switch on the 7226 storage enclosure.
4. Check the state of the power-on LED on the front of the 7226 storage enclosure.
Note: The power-on LED is located on the power switch.

Green This indicates normal operation. Go to Step 6.
Step 2
This step tests the electrical outlet.
1. Plug the 7226 storage enclosure power cable into a different electrical outlet
and press the power-on switch.
Does the 7226-1U3 power on?
YES The problem is fixed.
NO Go to Step 3.
Step 3
This step determines whether the external power cable is functional.
Replace the power cable and press the power switch.
Does the 7226-1U3 power on?
YES The problem is fixed.
NO Go to Step 4.
