Replacing a Slim Drive Tray

1. Prepare the 7226 Storage Enclosure for Service. See “Preparing the 7226

Storage Enclosure for Removal or Installation of a Storage Device or Other

Component” on page 138 for the correct procedure.

Note: The 7226 Storage Enclosure does not need to be extended from the rack

for this procedure.

2. Determine the location for the Slim Drive Tray to be replaced.

3. Remove the DVD Drives from the Slim Drive Tray. Push the latch 1 up

toward the drive and begin to pull the DVD Drive out of the Slim Drive Tray.

Grasp the drive 2 and slide it out of the enclosure. Repeat this step for the

second DVD drive or Slim Blank Front Cover.
