StopDrivingandSeating:IfthisissettoOn,thenanyactivationonanyslotrelatedtothisinputresultsindrivingand
seatingoperations(ifany)tostopbeforethesystemrespondstotheinput.
Forallinputsthatusethisfeature,theuserneedstoactivatetheinputtwicetoselecttheintendedoutputifadriving
orseatingoperationisinprogress:therstactivationstopsthedrivingorseatingoperation,thesecondactivation
selectstheintendedoutput.
Ifnodrivingorseatingoperationisinprogress,theintendedoutputisselectedbyasingleactivationoftheinput.
InputPortDebounce:Thissettingisusedtopreventfalsetriggers,bydeterminingwhenthecontrollerrespondstoan
input.Thisisusefulwhenthecontrollerneedstoignorespurioussignalssuchasthose,forexample,generatedbycontact
bounce(switchchatter)fromamechanicalswitch,oraballswitchwhenthewheelchairdrivesoverroughterrain.
SettheInputPortDebouncetimetoanappropriatevalue.
•Ifitissettozeroseconds,nodebounceisappliedandthecontrollerrespondstoasignalchangeontheinput
immediately.
•Ifitissettoatimegreaterthanzeroseconds,debounceisappliedandthecontrolleronlyrespondstothesignal
presentattheinputafterthetimesetbyInputPortDebounce.
Theinputsignalmustbestableforthedurationofthedebouncetime,beforethesystemrespondstotheinput.
Monitored:IfsettoYes,theinputisabletodetectopenandclosedcircuits,aswellasfaultconditions:shortcircuit
andno-circuit(disconnected)forallresistor-basedcircuits.
IfsettoNo,theinputisabletodetectopenandclosedcircuitsbutdoesnotdetectfaultconditions.
StabilityChecking:Setswhetherthisinputismonitoredforsignalstability.
Instabilityonaninputcantriggerunwarrantederrorsthatcanbeannoyingfortheuser .Signalsfrommechanically-based
switches,suchasballswitches,especially,forexample,whendrivingoverroughterrain,canproducethistypeofinstability.
Forsystemsthatshowthisbehaviour,stabilitymonitoringontheinputcanbeswitchedoff.
NormallyClosed:Bydefault,switchinputsareconsideredNormallyOpen(NO).IfaNOswitchisusedintheinputcircuit,
leavethisparametersettoNo.IfaNormallyClosed(NC)switchisusedintheinputcircuit,setthisparametertoYes.
EnableInput:ThissettingallowsyoutoenableordisabletheselectedInputTypewhilstretainingitscontrolIOconguration.
WhenitissettoYes,thesystemrespondstotheinputaccordingtothecontrolIOcongurationassignedtoit.Whenit
issettoNo,thesystemdoesnotrespondtotheinput.
NotethatthecontrolIOcongurationassignedtothisinputisretainedwhenEnableInputissettoNo.Thisisuseful,for
example,whenyouwanttodisablethisinputtemporarily.However,iftheInputTypesettingisreset(byselectingNot
Connected),thenanycongurationassociatedwiththisinputtypeisdeleted.
