Thefollowingoutlinesasuggestedprogrammingprocedure
forsettinguptheLiNXsystem.Itisnotprescriptiveand
shouldbeusedasaguidelineonly.
Thefollowingchaptersshowthepreferredorderinwhich
toprogramtheparameters,whateffectstheparameters
haveonthewheelchairandalsohowthevarious
parametersinteractwitheachother.

TheprogrammingprocedureissuitableforLiNXsystems
withorwithoutaLiNXGyromoduletted.
•Forgyro-basedsystems,performsteps1–3without
thegyroconnectedandthensteps4and5withgyro
connected.
6.1Step1–Power-uptest
Beforeprogramming,ensurethatthesystempowersup
successfully.Pressandreleasethepowerbuttononthe
remotemodule.Thestatusindicatorshouldlightgreen.
Ifthebatterycableorloomhasnotbeencorrectly
connected,thestatusindicatordoesnotturnon.
Ifthestatusindicatorashesred,checkthemotors
andparkbrakesastheymaynothavebeenconnected
properly.Formoreinformationabouterrorcodes,referto
theusermanualoftheremote.

Todetectmotorinversion,deectjoystickslightlyforwards.
•Ifwheelchairmovesbackwardsinsteadofforwards,
togglebothLeftInvertandRightInvertparameters.
•Ifwheelchairturnsonthespot,onlyonemotor
isinverted.Tobeginwith,justtoggleLeftInvert
parameteranddeectjoystickforwardsagain.If
wheelchairmovesbackwards,wheelchairnowhas
bothmotorsinverted.ToggleLeftInvertandRight
Invertparameterstoxthisissue.
Beforecontinuing,makesurethatwheelchairmoves
correctlyforwardsandbackwards.
CheckforMotorSwap
Todetectmotorswap,deectjoysticktoleft.Ifwheelchair
movesright,toggleSwapparameter .
Beforecontinuing,makesurethatwheelchairmoves
correctlyforwards,backwards,leftandright.
