Check the state of wear of the carbon brush D7.

Check that the carbon brush is between 19 ± 0.5 mm and 11.5 ± 0.5 mm long as shown in the photograph
below. If less than 11.5 ± 0.5 mm long, replace.
All four carbon brushes must be replaced at the same time and if the operating hours of the two
brush motors mounted on the head are the same, all eight carbon brushes must be replaced
together.

With a 7 mm spanner, unscrew the nut D9 fixing the eye terminal of the carbon brush to the mount.

Pay attention to the washer D10 under the nut D9. If it falls inside the motor, you may have to
disassemble the entire head.
