Lower Circuit
When the raise/lower switch is placed in the lower
position, voltage is provided to the LCD lower input
terminal J12-8, activating the input. With the input
activated, the LCD communicates the status of the lower
switch to MCU. The MCU now instructs the reel control
unit (RCU) to lower the reels through the controller area
network (CAN).
When the machine is in transport, the RCU lowers the
selected reels to the pre-programmed fully lowered
position. When the machine is in mow mode with the
reels engaged, the MCU instructs the RCU to lower the
selected reels to the pre-programmed fully lowered
position. The MCU delays lowering the center reel
dependent on travel speed.
To lower the right reel lift actuator, the RCU right lift motor
control output terminal J8-1 provides a ground to right
reel lift actuator motor terminal A (J25-2). At the same
time the RCU right lift motor control output terminal J8-2
provides 48 volts to right reel lift actuator motor terminal
B (J25-1).
