Assembly Notes
•
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to two screws (16) prior to
assembly.
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to eight screws (17) prior to
assembly.
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to four screws (21) prior to
assembly.
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to screw (27) prior to
assembly.
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to two screws (46) prior to
assembly.
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to five coupling shaft
mounting screws (8) prior to assembly.
• Tighten five coupling shaft mounting screws (8) to
13.0 lb-ft (17.6 N·m).
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to six generator flange
mounting screws (50) prior to assembly.
• Tighten six generator flange mounting screws (50) to
13.0 lb-ft (17.6 N·m).
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to four generator assembly
mounting screws (51) prior to assembly.
• Tighten four generator assembly mounting screws
(51) to 13.0 lb-ft (17.6 N·m).
• Secure bell housing cover plate (10) to engine bell
housing using 3M

VHB

double-sided tape—trim
excess.
Engine Service (Diesel)
A separate engine manual, prepared by the engine
manufacturer, is supplied with this machine. Refer to the
engine manufacturer’s manual for all engine-related
service.
Proper attention to the engine manufacturer’s manual
directions will ensure maximum service life of the engine.
Genset Fan (Diesel and Gas)
Removal and Installation
See Figure 3-46.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)

2. Tag and disconnect wire connector (3).
3. Remove four screws (1) and genset fan (2).
Installation Notes
• Install genset fan by reversing the order of removal.
• Apply dielectric grease (Jacobsen PN 365422) to
wire connector (3).
