Traction Control Unit Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)
DTC: Traction Fault 2310
Software detected short circuit in cabling, controller or motor.
DTC: Traction Fault 2340
Hardware detected short circuit in controller, cabling to motor or in motor.
DTC: Traction Fault 3120
The DC bus charging is not finished within 10 seconds.
DTC: Traction Fault 3211
DC voltage is above the high trip level.
Probable Cause Remedy
Faulty connections. Check connections; make sure connections are dry, clean of corrosion and tight.
Shorted wiring harness. Make sure traction motor wiring harness is free of nicks and cuts and not pinched to
machine frame.
Faulty traction control unit. Substitute the traction control unit with a known good traction control unit. If system now
works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.
Faulty traction motor. Continuity test U,V and W individually to motor case ground. If DVM reading is 0.5 Ohms
or above, motor is shorted. Substitute the traction motor with a known good traction
motor. If system now works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.

Low battery. Charge battery.
PDU traction contactor not closing. Check traction contactor.
Traction pedal not in neutral. Check traction pedal; make sure pedal is in the neutral position.

Stuck throttle. Check throttle linkage; adjust and repair.
Faulty traction control unit. Substitute the traction control unit with a known good traction control unit. If system now
works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.
Faulty OLM/BRC unit Substitute the OLM/BRC unit with a known good OLM/BRC unit. If system now works,
re-install old component to verify fault returns.
