2. Tag and disconnect the throttle actuator wire
connector (1).

3. Set the meter to read ohms.
4. Touch meter leads to each other and confirm a
resistance value of 0.0 ohms.
5. Measure the resistance between terminals (2 and 3).
Is the resistance value within 4.55 ohms ± 10% at
68° F?
YES Proceed to step 6.
NO The throttle actuator is faulty; replace the
throttle actuator.
6. Manually retract and extend the actuator shaft,
checking for smooth operation throughout the entire
range of motion. If the actuator shaft sticks or binds,
replace the actuator.
7. Connect the throttle actuator wire connector (1).
Cycle the key switch while observing actuator
movement. Verify full stroke of the actuator. Replace
actuator as necessary.
