Axle Shield and Front Splash Shield
Removal and Installation
See Figure 5-23.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)

2. Remove four lock nuts (5), four screws (1), and shield
mounting strap (2).
3. Remove axle shield (6).
4. Remove four panel fasteners (3).
5. Remove front splash shield (4).
Installation Notes
• Install axle shield and front splash shield by reversing
the order of removal.
• Use new panel fasteners (3) to secure the front
splash shield (4).
