NOTES
• Label all wires before disconnecting to ensure correct
installation.
• Ensure all components are clean prior to inspection.
• Unscrew female connectors (1 and 2) to disconnect
female connectors from male connectors (3 and 4).

Inspection Notes
• Inspect wire harnesses (7 and 8) for wear or damage
and replace as necessary.
• Inspect pins (12) and sockets (10) for wear, damage,
corrosion, and loose connection. Replace as
necessary.
• Inspect connectors (5, 6, 9, and 11) for wear or
damage and replace as necessary.
NOTES
• Do not use paper clips or large conductive materials
while troubleshooting turck connectors, as damage
may occur.
• Align and positively engage connectors prior to
engaging connector threads. Do not force the
connectors. Position wire harness to relieve
excessive strain on the connector. Be sure threads
are fully engaged—more than three full threads.
• Do NOT apply dielectric grease or any lubricant to
turck connectors.
MCU
Removal and Installation
See Figure 4-102.
WARNING
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Remove left side cowling. (See “Cowlings” on
page 7-18.)

NOTE
Label all wires before disconnecting to ensure correct
installation.
3. Disconnect MCU connectors (2).
4. Remove screws (1).
5. Remove MCU (3).
Installation Notes
• Install MCU by reversing the order of removal.
• Apply dielectric grease (Jacobsen PN 365422) to any
connectors removed.

Be sure that the key switch is off, all electrical
accessories are turned off, and the 12-volt and
48-volt power connectors are disconnected
before starting work on machine.
