Accessory Socket Fuse Test
See Figure 4-80.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Remove accessory socket fuse. (See “Fuses” on
page 4-150.)

3. Set the meter to read ohms.
4. Touch meter leads to each other and confirm a
resistance value of 0.0 ohms.
5. Measure the resistance between terminals (1 and 2).
Is the resistance value 0.02 ohms or less?
YES Fuse is good.
NO Fuse is faulty; replace fuse.
Fan Relay Test
See Figure 4-81.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Remove fan relay. (See “Fan Relay” on page 4-150.)

3. Set the meter to read ohms.
4. Touch meter leads to each other and confirm a
resistance value of 0.0 ohms.
5. Measure the resistance between terminal 30 (1) and
87a (3).
Is the resistance value 0.02 ohms or less?
YES Proceed to step 6.
NO Relay is faulty; replace relay.
6. Using a 12-volt DC power source, connect the
positive output to terminal 86 (2) and connect the
negative output to terminal 85 (5).
7. Measure the resistance between terminal 30 (1) and
87 (4).
Is the resistance value 0.02 ohms or less?
YES Relay is good.
NO Relay is faulty; replace relay.
