DTC: Traction Fault 3212
DC voltage is above the hardware defined trip level.
DTC: Traction Fault 3221
DC bus voltage is below the low trip level.
DTC: Traction Fault 4210
Motor temperature is above 356° F (180° C).
DTC: Traction Fault 4310
Heatsink temperature is above 185° F (85° C).
Probable Cause Remedy
Stuck throttle. Check throttle linkage; adjust and repair.
Faulty traction control unit. Substitute the traction control unit with a known good traction control unit. If system now
works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.
Faulty OLM/BRC unit Substitute the OLM/BRC unit with a known good OLM/BRC unit. If system now works,
re-install old component to verify fault returns.
Probable Cause Remedy
Low battery. Charge battery.
PDU traction contactor not closing. Check traction contactor.
Probable Cause Remedy
Differential. Check for excessive mechanical resistance in the differential.
Faulty brake coil. Check brake coil.
Faulty connections. Check connections; make sure connections are dry, clean of corrosion and tight.
Faulty traction motor. Resistance test temp signal (J46-A to J46-B) at 77F, reading should be approx. 544 to
618 ohms. If out of range, Substitute the traction motor with a known traction motor. If
system now works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.
Probable Cause Remedy
Traction control unit fan. Excessive debris lodged in TCU fan and heat sink; clean area.
Faulty wiring between MCU and TCU fan; check wiring.
Faulty TCU fan; replace TCU fan. If system now works, re-install old component to verify
fault returns.
Differential. Check for excessive mechanical resistance in the differential.
Faulty traction motor. Test motor for shorts to ground or short to AC phases. Substitute the traction motor with a
known traction motor. If system now works, re-install old component to verify fault
returns.
