Backlap Circuit
The RCU right reel motor direction output terminal J8-8
connects to the right reel motor reel direction input
terminal J69-7. The direction output terminal controls the
direction of the motor, forward for cutting and reverse for
backlapping. With no output to the reel motor, the reel
operates in the forward direction. When the output is
providing a signal to the reel motor, the motor operates in
the reverse direction. To backlap, the operator enables
the backlap mode through the LCD with the proper PIN.
The LCD communicates this to the MCU. The MCU then
instructs the RCU to provide a signal to the reel direction
input, operating the motor in the reverse direction.
