DTC: Generator Fault 23
Throttle actuator fault.
DTC: Generator Fault 31
Rectifier temperature greater than 212° F (100° C) for 3 seconds.
DTC: Generator Fault 54
Pack voltage sensor greater than 70 VDC for 3 seconds.
DTC: Generator Fault 55
Pack voltage sensor 2 VDC for 2 seconds.
Probable Cause Remedy
Faulty connections. Check steering motor connections; make sure connections are dry, clean of corrosion
and tight.
Faulty throttle actuator. Test actuator. (See “Throttle Actuator Test (Diesel)” on page 4-134.) (See “Throttle
Actuator Test (Gas)” on page 4-135.)
Faulty generator control unit. Substitute the generator control unit with a known good generator control unit. If system
now works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.
Probable Cause Remedy
Running on high load (150A continuous). Remove load.
Debris in or around genset fan. Remove debris and clean the genset fan.
Faulty connections. Check steering motor connections; make sure connections are dry, clean of corrosion
and tight.
Faulty wiring harness. Make sure wiring harness is free of nicks and cuts and not pinched to machine frame.
Faulty fan relay. Test relay. (See “Fan Relay Test” on page 4-128.)
Faulty genset fan. Substitute the genset fan with a known good genset fan. If system now works, re-install
old component to verify fault returns.
Faulty generator control unit. Substitute the generator control unit with a known good generator control unit. If system
now works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.
Faulty rectifier temperature sensor circuit. Replace rectifier wiring. If system now works, re-install old component to verify fault
returns.
Probable Cause Remedy
Stuck throttle. Check throttle linkage; adjust and repair.
Faulty throttle actuator. Test actuator. (See “Throttle Actuator Test (Diesel)” on page 4-134.) (See “Throttle
Actuator Test (Gas)” on page 4-135.)
Probable Cause Remedy
Battery pack disconnected (engine not
running).
Connect 48 volt battery connector; make sure connections are clean and tight.
Loose terminals. Check terminals and cable between PDU and rectifier box; make sure connections are
clean and tight.
Check terminals and cable between rectifier box and ground block; make sure
connections are clean and tight.
Check for loose 150A shunt resistor terminals; make sure connections are clean and
tight.
Check for loose rectifier terminals; make sure connections are clean and tight.
