Axle Shaft Bearings Removal
CAUTION
1. Remove front wheels. (See “Front Wheels” on
page 7-14.)
2. Remove front wheel hubs. (See “Front Wheel Hub”
on page 5-19.)
3. Remove snap ring (1) from right-side axle shaft (18).
4. Remove right-side axle shaft and bearing assembly
(18 and 2) using a suitable puller.
5. Remove snap ring (3) from right-side axle shaft.
6. Remove oil seal (4) using a suitable puller.
7. Remove axle shaft bearing (2) from right-side axle
shaft using a suitable press.
8. Repeat steps 3 through 7 for the left-side axle shaft
and bearing assembly (11 and 2).
