3. Remove (unsnap) cap (4) from the steering wheel
(7).
4. Loosen but do not remove nut (5).

5. Place screw (10) on the steering column shaft, using
nut (5) as a pilot. Position the jaws to grasp the lip on
the bottom of the steering wheel (12) with the top of
the jaws resting on the bottom of the steering wheel.
6. Tighten screw (10) until the steering wheel
disengages from the steering column shaft.
7. Remove puller (1), nut (5) and washer (6).
8. Pull up and remove steering wheel (7).
9. Remove bearing (8) from steering column (9).
Installation Notes
• Install steering wheel by reversing the order of
removal.
• Tighten the steering wheel nut (5) to 28–30 lb-ft (38–
41 N·m).
