LO Synthesizer/Reference Troubleshooting
A14 LO Synthesizer and A20 YTO Troubleshooting
Verifying the 100 MHz LO Synth Reference Power and Frequency
Stability:
1. Turn on the N9030B Signal Analyzer and wait for the instrument to
complete the boot up process.
2. Press FREQ, 50 MHz, SPAN, Zero Span.
3. Disconnect W32 from A14J10 (see Figure 8-5).

4. Connect the end of W32 to the RF input of the functioning spectrum
analyzer.
5. Set the functioning spectrum analyzer to a center frequency of 100 MHz
and a span of 5 MHz. Set the reference level to +20 dBm.
DS3 (red LED) will illuminate when cable W32 is removed. This is normal.
