7.2.1 Access to the I/O area
SDO access can be used for read-only access to the object directory's input and output data.
Input data
When accessing the input area of an I/O compound module, addressing takes place via index I-6000
+ EtherCAT slot no. Subindices give you access to the corresponding input data. The relevant module
description contains the subindex assignment.
Output data
During read-only access to the output area of an I/O compound module, addressing takes place via
index I-7000 + EtherCAT slot no. Subindices give you read-only access to the corresponding output
data. The relevant module description contains the subindex assignment.
