5. Fax
Set the machine so that it can determine whether the sender is sending a fax while the
recipient is holding the handset of the external telephone after picking it up to answer the call
when the telephone rings in Tel/Fax Ready mode.

Press [Device Settings] on the touch panel.

Press or several times and press [Admin Setup].

Enter the administrator name and password and press [OK].
The factory default administrator name and password are "admin" and "999999"
respectively.

Press [Fax Setup].

Press [Fax Setting].

Press or several times and press [CNG Detection] and set it to [ON].
Pressing [CNG Detection] switches between [ON] and [OFF].
•
[ON]: The machine detects fax beep signals, and then automatically starts receiving
a fax.
• [OFF]: If the sender is sending a fax, the machine receives a fax with manual
reception.

Press [Back] until the home screen is displayed.
