To opmize the output quality, it is eecve to use some correcon funcons.
Adjust the misalignment of the ink landing posion.
This adjusts the landing posion of the ink discharged from the print heads. The landing posion varies according
to the print head height and the thickness of the media, so we recommend that you make correcons to match
the media you are using.
First, print a test paern, and then determine and enter the correcon value. Aer entering the correcon value,
print a test paern again and check the correcon results.
Procedure
1. Press [MENU].
2. Press [▼] several mes to display the screen shown below.
3. Press [▲] or [▶] to display the screen shown below.
4. Press [ENTER].

5. When prinng is nished, press [▼], then [▶] to display the screen shown below.
6. View the printed test paern, and then determine the correcon value.
Select the value that gives the least misalignment between the two lines. In the case of the following gure,
select "-3." When you cannot choose between two sequenal numbers, select a value that is between them
(you can set correcon values in units of "0.5").
7. Press [▲] or [▼] to select the correcon value.
8. Press [ENTER] to conrm your entry.
9. Press [◀] or [▲] to display the screen shown below.
10. Press [ENTER].

11. Check the test paern to see whether the correcon was successful.
Check that the misalignment is minimized for the two vercal lines indicated by "
" (that is, the current
correcon value). If the misalignment is smaller for another set of vercal lines, set the correcon value
again.
12. When you have successfully performed the correcon, press [MENU] to go back to the original screen.
