Separang the Media
Procedure
1. Close the front cover.
2. Check that [SETUP] is lit.
3. Press [FUNCTION].
4. Press [▼] several mes to display the screen shown below.

From its posion on the blade protecon line prior to [ENTER] being pressed (
), the media moves to a
posion on the separang line ( ) and is separated.

You can congure sengs in the soware RIP for automac media separaon aer output has nished. For informaon on
how to congure the sengs, refer to the documentaon for the soware RIP you are using.
IMPORTANT
Separaon Operaons
• When performing separaon, do not use [▲] to pull the media back. If the distance from the end of the media to the
separaon locaon is short, separaon may not be performed smoothly.
Give Aenon to the Media Composion
• For some types of media, separaon is not possible.
• Some types of media may remain on the platen aer separaon. If the media remains on the platen, remove it by hand.
