Cleaning the Wiper Tray
Discharged uid collects in the wiper tray. The wiper tray must be cleaned periodically.
If the following message is displayed, clean the wiper tray, and then replace the tray pad.
CAUTION
Be sure to perform operaons as specied by the instrucons, and never touch any area
not specied in the instrucons.
Otherwise sudden movement of the machine may cause injury.

Procedure
1. Press [ENTER].
2. Press [MENU].
3. Press [▼] several mes to display the screen shown below.

4. Press [▶] once, and then press [▼] several mes to display the screen shown below.

5. Press [▶] once, and then press [▼] several mes to display the screen shown below.

6. Press [ENTER].
7. When the screen shown below appears, remove the drain bole and discard the discharged uid.

DRAIN BOTTLE
IMPORTANT
When you remove the drain bole, a few drops of discharged uid may come out of the machine. Exercise cauon to prevent
this uid from soiling your hands or the oor.
CAUTION
Before you detach the drain bole, be sure to wait for the screen to display "EMPTY
DRAIN BOTTLE." Aer discarding the discharged uid, promptly aach the drain bot-
tle to the machine.
Failing to follow this procedure may cause discharged uid to ow out of the tube and spill, soiling
your hands or the oor.
WARNING
Never place discharged uid or ink near an open ame.
