Setup of Roll Media
Load the roll media on the printer. When you have nished loading the media, [SETUP] lights. This work is referred
to as "Setup of Media."
CAUTION
Load the roll media correctly.
Otherwise the media may fall and cause injury.
CAUTION
The roll media is approximately 40 kg (88 lb.). To avoid injury, handle the roll media with
care.
CAUTION
Never load media that weighs over 40 kg (88 lb.). For the 54-inch model, never load me-
dia that weighs over 30 kg (66 lb.).
The machine may p over because it is incapable of withstanding the weight. Alternavely, the media
may fall out of the machine.
1. Install the media on the media holders.
The media holder of this machine is designed to be used exclusively with media that has a paper tube (core) with
an inner diameter of 3 inches. To use 2-inch media, the oponal media anges are required. For informaon about
oponal items, contact your authorized Roland DG Corporaon dealer or visit our website (hp://
www.rolanddg.com/).
Procedure
1. Open the front cover.
2. Move the media clamps to the outside of the grit rollers on the le and right edges respecvely.
3. Loosen the retaining screws of the media holders, and then draw them to the le and right ends respecvely.
4. Place the media on the media stays.
