Before contacting Technical Support, gather the
following information:
• Customer number: listed on the shipping
documents
• Serial number and model number (located on the
side or back of the scanner)
• Type of computer and the operating system you
are using with the scanner (PC, Mac, etc.)
• Sheet count: determining sheet count will vary
depending on your scanner. Refer to the procedure
documented in your Operator’s Guide.
• A description of the problem, including
• The steps to reproduce it and whether you can
determine the source of the problem based on its
symptoms
• Any pertinent information related to the problem,
such as error messages or sample output

provide product support in a variety of ways.
