Appendix C:
Bar Code Reader
The bar code reader is an optional attachment that
enables the scanner to collect data from bar codes
attached to or imprinted on a sheet you scan. The
scanner communicates this data to the computer to
which it is attached. The bar code data collected from
each sheet is processed by the scanning software and
is stored in the same ASCII data record as your OMR
bubble data.
This chapter covers the components, setup, use, and
troubleshooting of the bar code reader.
