The control dynamic that can be achieved using a synchronous motor corresponds to that of
an induction motor:
● Power-up time from standstill to rated speed ≥ 1 s
● Starting torque ≤ 2 × rated torque of the motor
Operation is intended for applications where increased energy efficiency is required when
compared to an induction motor.
