Synchronization Function
The synchronization function of 7SJ64 provides configuration options for four individual synchronization func-
tions. 7SJ62 only provides one function group for the synchronization check. The function and mode of opera-
tional according to SYNC Function group 1is described as follows. The same applies to function groups 2 to 4.
SYNC Function group 1
When connecting two sections of a power system, the synchrocheck verifies that the switching does not
endanger the stability of the power system.
Applications
•
Typical applications are, for example, the synchronism check of a feeder and a busbar (see Figure 2-122)
or the synchronism check of two busbars via bus coupler (see Figure 2-125).
Prerequisites
In 7SJ62 only one SYNC function group exists. Furthermore, only the operation mode SYNCHROCHECK is avail-
able for 7SJ62.
General
For comparing the two voltages the synchronism check uses the reference voltage V
1
and an additional
voltage to be connected V
2
.
If a transformer is connected between the two voltage transformers (Figure 2-124), its vector group can be
adapted in the 7SJ62/64 relay so that there are no external adjustment required.
