Exchanging Interface Modules
The following figure shows the processor board CPU and arrangement of the modules.

Processor board CPU with interface modules
The interface modules are located on the processor printed circuit boards CPU (No.1 in Figure 3-3 to
Figure 3-7) of the devices 7SJ62/64.
Please note the following:
•
The interface modules can only be exchanged in devices designed for panel and cubicle mounting and
surface-mounted devices with detached or without operator panel. Devices in surface-mounted housings
with two-tier terminals have to be retrofitted at our factory.
•
Use only interface modules that can be ordered in our facilities (see also Appendix A1).
•
For interfaces with bus capability, ensure that the bus termination is correct (if applicable); see margin
heading “Termination”.
