EN100-Module
Description
The Ethernet EN100-Modul enables integration of the 7SJ62/64 in 100-Mbit communication networks in
control and automation systems with the protocols according to IEC 61850 standard. This standard permits
uniform communication of the devices without gateways and protocol converters. Even when installed in
heterogeneous environments, SIPROTEC 4 relays therefore provide for open and interoperable operation.
Parallel to the process control integration of the device, this interface can also be used for communication
with DIGSI and for inter-relay communication via GOOSE.
Setting Notes
Interface Selection
No special settings are required for operating the Ethernet system interface module (IEC 1850, Ethernet
EN100-Modul). If the ordered version of the device is equipped with such a module, it is automatically allo-
cated to the interface available for it, namely Port B.
IEC 61850 GOOSE Function
The GOOSE function can be disabled via a device parameter. For more information, please refer to Section
2.1.2.2 Setting Notes.
