SECTION 9 – RETRIEVAL AND STORAGE
9. Retrieval and Storing
1. When the WSM6 has completed its in water operations the unit must be retrieved.
2. Make sure the rotary ON/OFF is switched to set to OFF.
3. Thoroughly wash the transponder in warm clean fresh water. This is to remove accumulations
of salt, sand or silt, paying particular attention to the ON/OFF switch and electrical
connectors.
4. Remove any attached cabling or dummy plugs and wash the external socket.
5. Dry the WSM6 and any attached cabling with a clean lint free cloth.
6. Inspect the WSM6 for any signs of damage or corrosion.
7. Inspect the Pressure Relief Vent Valve for signs of protrusion. A protruding Pressure Relief
Vent Valve could indicate a fault with the battery pack.
8. Lubricate the connectors as detailed in Section 6.6 - Lubrication.
9.
Check and recharge the battery.
10. On completion of all checks the WSM6 may be placed in storage.
